Harvey Lapp &
euchrelinks.      "the skinny..."a brief biography and explanation.
And then there was Euchre...
Harvey posted his original "Ten Commandments of Euchre" and almost immediately began receiving e-mail about the controversial subject. He knew then that people were at least reading his stuff, so he decided to make more.
Early in 2001, the domain euchrelinks.com was purchased and the site was thus renamed.
Some informational pages and entertainment were added and Harvey shared some of his knowledge about card cheaters that he felt would be useful for those who were interested in operating money games or tournaments.
In 2003, after over a decade of dealing in Louisiana, Harvey moved to Las Vegas, NV. The popular tourist destination has become a permanent home.
Today, euchrelinks.com is one of the best all-around euchre websites on the Internet. Besides the strategy and informational pages of its own, there are links to the best online game sites and current live tournament listings.

In the Beginning...
Harvey Lapp was born on a snowy winter solstice in Buffalo, NY in 1967 (Euchrelinks.com however, didn't arrive until 2001).
From an early age, he became an avid indoorsman due mainly to the arctic conditions of western New York.  Harvey found a special interest in darts, pool, dice and card games. The game that captured his interest the most however was euchre. Harvey played this game adamantly beginning in grade school, always refining his play and taking on new challengers.
As a young man, his passion for euchre remained strong. He played wherever there was a decent game and joined a bar league team (Groffs Tavern) in Lockport, NY at the age of 21.
Movin' to Luziana...
Jobs became scarce in the early 90's for Harvey so he moved to Louisiana where much of his immediate family is located. The timing was perfect! Gambling had recently been legalized and the casinos, which hadn't opened yet, were hiring people (and training them), so he got a job as a casino dealer.
Unfortunately, hardly anyone in Louisiana knew anything about euchre, so Harvey had to teach the natives the game in order to play in one.
The advent of the Internet in the mid to late 90's suddenly opened the door for Harvey to share his favorite game with the rest of the world. It wasn't long before he started a web page called "Euchre Central". Although it was just a simple page of links to other euchre sites at first,  it was his own personal contribution to a game that he felt was generally esoteric. Then came the "Ten Commandments".

Note: Although challenging, it's not a good idea to play serious poker against this guy unless you've really got game.
